Would you like to join the Premises Team of a school that sets and expects high standards?
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and efficient, well-motivated person to our cleaning team. This is a physically demanding role and the successful candidate will need to be energetic and able to work quickly and efficiently.
You should be hard working, conscientious and take pride in your work, be flexible and work to the highest standards with attention to detail. Whilst all cleaners work the same shift, you will predominantly be working independently, therefore you must work well alone or as part of the team.
We are friendly and welcoming team and our cleaning team is formed of two Cleaners and a Cleaner in Charge. The working hours are 10 hours per week during term time, plus additional 30 hours as demonstrated below.
Salary: Grade 2 £18,198 - £18,562 Pro-rata (£9.43-£9.62 per hour)
Term-Time Work pattern:10 Hours per week during the school term
Monday – Friday 4 – 6pm
Two Inset Days4-6pm (exact days to be determined, but usually the first two days after the summer break)
Holiday Work Pattern:30 Hours during the school holidays spread across the year as follows;
Christmas Holiday 5 Hours to be worked over one day for a deep clean
February Holiday 5 Hours to be worked over one day for a deep clean
Easter Holiday 5 Hours to be worked over one day for a deep clean
May Holiday 5 Hours to be worked over one day for a deep clean
Summer Holiday 6 Hours to be worked over one day for a deep clean
It is a requirement of this post that you work the 2 inset days and that you work 26 additional hours during school holiday periods. In recognition of this your salary will reflect payment for 46.6/52 weeks and not 43.2/52 as per normal term time only appointments.
Preference will be given to candidates with evidence of previous cleaning experience, including knowledge and awareness of COSHH regulations, but full training will be given to the right candidate.
