Experian Consumer Services (ECS) are the team behind Experian Boost, Credit Expert and personalizing your experiences to you and only you.

Now working as part of cross functional delivery teams that include Product Owners, Developers, Designers and Test specialists amongst others, we are deploying new versions of our application’s multiple times per day. We’re using modern technologies such as and more than 100 microservices that combine to form a cloud native platform we are proud of, and that our customers love.

We have a dedicated engineering team, and we need more people who can help us build exciting journeys and features for our customers, whilst also helping us keep this as a great place to work. We hope you might be the one!

We are looking for a Software Developer who has good experience of C# .NET Framework/NET Core and are comfortable writing backend code in C# and working with microservices. Experience with working with Cloud based technologies would also be useful, but most importantly you have a passion for quality engineering, working as part of an agile team and being flexible in your ways of working.

You’d be joining a delivery team who use Scrum and would be part of an organisation that focuses on agility at its core. You’ll find it easiest to understand the way we work if you’ve worked using Agile delivery methods in the past, but it’s not mandatory.

Some of our developers have Computer Science, Mathematics, or other technical degrees. If you have this that’s excellent, but don’t worry if you don’t. What we really value is that you have demonstrated an ability to produce real working products on the web, and you have a good grasp of the technologies that you’ve used.

You will need good knowledge of at least :

  • .NET Core and C#
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Development and CI/CD tools such as Jira, Git and AWS CodeBuild
  • Working within an agile environment or team
  • We also use these following technologies to build our products. These are not all mandatory, but we’d expect you to be knowledgeable some of the following:

  • JavaScript
  • JavaScript unit testing
  • JavaScript module loading with Webpack
  • Docker
  • Splunk
  • HTML, CSS, React and building for both desktop and mobile.
