Compass Associates are proud to be working with an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ provider of children’s residential homes, specialist schools and fostering services to recruit a full time Psychotherapist to work 40 hours per week. This is a permanent role where you’d work within a friendly and family-run organisation who offer specialist care, therapy and support for looked after children. My client has more than 30 children’s homes across the North and Midlands, as well as an Ofsted Outstanding fostering agency. You would be based in Stockport and visit looked after children, in foster care and residential homes, who have backgrounds of trauma, attachment difficulties, abuse, exploitation, self-harm and histories of placement breakdowns. Many children will also have social, emotional and behaviours difficulties due to their complex backgrounds. You will also be involved in group sessions, reflective practice, delivering training and advising care staff/carers on behaviour management and support. An important aspect of your role will be to provide specialist therapeutic advice/perspectives to team meetings, family meetings and LAC reviews. This is an exciting opportunity for a newly qualified/junior Psychotherapist who is passionate about working with vulnerable and looked after children who have complex backgrounds and needs. You will be an important member of the therapeutic management team and work closely with the Therapy Director who will be your Clinical Supervisor. Benefits

A recognised degree in Psychotherapy

Accreditation/registration with the relevant professional body

UK driving licence and own car access
