Make a real impact to a child with SEN by working as a SEN TEACHING ASSISTANT in special need schools!

A lovely special needs school based in Ealing are looking for teaching assistants with autism, severe and complex needs experience for roles starting from 19th April 2021. The role would be based either within the school’s autism or profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) department. The school provides engaging and specialised learning and therapy for children aged 4-11 with complex learning and physical difficulties including the diagnosis of autism.

  • You will need to:

  • Be able to travel to Sudbury Hill/Greenford area (Ealing, West London)
  • Be able to work either Monday to Fridays 8:30am – to 3:45pm or a minimum of 3 weekdays 8:30 – 3:45pm during school term time
  • Have experience working in a Special Needs setting or 1:1 with children/adults with a special need diagnosis
  • Have confident supporting children with academic learning
  • Be open to supporting with personal care/moving and handling
  • Having knowledge of Team Teach and/or SEN specific resources such as PECS, TEACCH, Makaton, symbols and sensory play is highly beneficial
