An opportunity has arisen for an exciting KS2 teacher / Key Stage 2 teacher in Rotherham. Are you looking for an exciting challenge in a vibrant primary school? An Ofsted rated 'good', 2 form primary school in Rotherham are looking to appoint a KS2 teacher / Key Stage 2 teacher to start work at the beginning of April, the post is going to run on initially till the end of the school year but there is potential for it to continue into the new school year until Christmas. It is expected of you to take on full class responsibilities after the handover has been completed.
You will need to provide creative, quality learning opportunities for children, model high standards of behaviour, create an environment which inspires 'awe and wonder', encourage and motivate children to reach their full potential, work with families and our local community to support children's learning, contribute to our wide range of extra-curricular activities.
The school will offer you a supportive, caring ethos learning, excellent career development opportunities through quality CPD, opportunities to develop and to work within a progressive and collaborative locality. They know that you will be coming to the school temporarily, yet they actively ensure that you will feel like a permanent member of staff! The Head Teacher is looking for someone with excellent classroom management, who teaches with an enthusiastic yet nurturing approach and has high expectations of learning. You will be working alongside a year group partner to share planning, assessment tools and resources to reduce the work load. The school prides itself on the best working conditions as possible for its staff in order to foster the most positive environment as possible. The school does not have much significant EAL or SEND needs but the children can be a little challenging in terms of behaviour however there will be extra support in all classrooms to ensure that it does not become as disturbance.
