Commercial Plumber £35,000 p/a Thetford area We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Plumber to work on commercial properties in the Thetford area. You will be completed PPM and reactive maintenance work on unvented pipework including iron and copper. Working on LPG and Oil heating systems, you'll be working on valves and pumps to keep the heating running across the site. Ideally candidates will have oil and LPG handling tickets but if not training can be provided in these areas. The role of the Commercial Plumber is to be responsible for all planned and reactive maintenance across a large portfolio of commercial properties including schools, offices, hospitals, retail units and large warehouse facilities. The role is working with standard burners from (Apply online only)kw. There is a call out on the role which is 1 week 4 in and comes with a standby allowance and overtime rate if called out. Duties of the role: Ensure the day-to-day planned preventative maintenance activities of mechanical systems are completed, working alongside gas engineers to keep in line with the contractual obligations. Working on all types of pipework and plumbing as required on a commercial portfolio from large pipework in copper and iron, to values and pumps as well as smaller internal works such as taps and plumbing affiliated equipment. Respond positively to reactive requests as required, ensuring workloads are managed alongside the planned maintenance regime. Ensure all assets are maintained in accordance with the O&M Manuals Assist in supervising contractors and sub-contractors and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations Ensure that all reactive calls are closed out in line with our contractual time scales Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety legislation and company policy (Fire Regulations, COSHH, Safe Working Practices, PPE, etc) Ensure all gas distribution systems and functional and operational within design parameters and carry out reactive repairs within agreed response and rectification time frames Ensure energy efficiencies are controlled and maintained Keep all plant rooms/M&E rooms/services enclosures clean, tidy, safe and secure Participate in standby call-out rota for emergency calls outside of normal workings hours The role comes with a company van as well as a fuel card, holidays, pension scheme and a host of other benefits provided by the market leading employer. The applicant: The ideal applicant will be an experienced engineer who can work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: Qualified Plumber with experience of commercial maintenance Experience with unvented pipework, valves and pumps. LPG ticket or experience (desirable) Experience with oil (desirable) FM experience Willing to act as responsible person (RP) for compliance purposes. Willing to undergo further training in gas modules. Experience and competence in health and safety legislation Good organisation skills
