We have a great opportunity for a Care Assistant to join our team at Boscombe Connect, Owls Road, Boscombe. We are a generic day opportunities service for adults with varying disabilities and needs. We support our clients to meet their aims and goals with a wide choice of meaningful activities within the building as well as out in the community.

We are a holistic service that will focus on maintaining our client’s wellbeing, health and helping them develop relationships and a support network within their local community.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Support our clients to access the community: gardening, gym , swimming, sailing, photography groups, as well as building based activities such as pottery, arts and crafts, quizzes.
  • Supporting individuals with personal care, nutrition and hydration as well as moving and assisting that could include the use of equipment.
  • Maintaining dignity, privacy and respect for our clients.
  • To keywork clients, hold reviews and support them to meet their personal goals within their chosen activities.
  • The successful candidate will be creative and with great communication skills. They will have an ability to follow care plans and instructions, strong IT skills with the ability to maintain accurate records. A driver is desirable. A Care Certificate, NVQ Level 2 in Direct Care is desirable, or a willingness to achieve this.
