Robert Half Finance & Accounting is currently partnering on an exclusive basis with a highly entrepreneurial business based in Leicestershire with the recruitment of a Finance Manager. The business is highly ambitious, has a strong balance sheet and has seen continued growth over recent years. Due to the firms location the role is commutable distance from all areas of Leicester / Leicestershire, Nottingham, Derby, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and the Finance Manager will own all of the businesses accounting activities. Currently the business outsources their accounting and wishes to bring it back in house as they look at the next stage of the business growth.

Initially the role will involve bringing all of the accounting activities back into the business and building the firms accounting process including setting up the monthly management accounting, kpi analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting and statutory returns and year end.

This is a hands on role and will also involve looking after the general transactions, invoicing and bank accounts. The business operates on the Sage 100 accounting software.

The business is keen to hire a well-rounded accountant who is qualified in either the CIMA or ACCA qualification - exceptional QBE candidates will also be considered. They are looking for a candidate who can see the bigger picture and will be able to work with the wider business and support its growth, you will need to have the ability to always see potential opportunities for the business. The client is keen to hire a candidate who is looking for a long term role with the view that the role will become the Financial Director over several years. It is expected that within 12 months' time the role will have a accounts assistant / bookkeeper reporting into it.

It is essential to have the ability to juggle lots of hats at anyone time and be comfortable advising a board of directors as you would be posting an invoice or making a payment.

The role has a salary range of between £35,000 to £42,000 plus benefits
