As a member of the UK team, you'll support local and international projects across the transportation and energy sectors, including railways, highways, metros, marine, wind, hydro, and more.

You'll be joined by hundreds of skilled experts, collaborating over the entire lifecycle of a project – from idea, concept and design, to operation and maintenance within our portfolio of tunnels & underground structures, bridges, complex structures, ground engineering and reclamation projects.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS

In this position, you'll join our global team of experts and work closely with the Project Controls Director. You'll prepare and develop schedules for a variety of large multi discipline schemes or smaller projects, where the ability to prioritise competing demands will be key.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for:

  • Preparing and developing schedules in conjunction with Project Managers, including schedule updates and reports
  • Highlighting trends delays and issues within the programme and propose mitigation measures
  • Ensuring programme related issues are addressed
  • Analysing and reporting schedule progress and trends
  • Assisting management, project managers and colleagues to understand and buy into the planning and scheduling function
  • Recognise and understand competing business requirements within the plans and make recommendations for the overall good of the business
  • Assist the Project Controls team with evaluating schedule impacts arising from change and risk mitigation

    To succeed in this position, you'll have proven P6 planning experience and possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

    Furthermore, you'll:

  • Hold degree or diploma in engineering or related discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Possess significant planning and scheduling experience in large multi discipline civil engineering projects (tunnelling experience preferred)
  • Have an in-depth working knowledge and hands on experience with Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
  • Be commercially aware with a good knowledge of contracts and Earned Value analysis
  • Able to develop programmes independently with strong capabilities in progressing, trending, forecasting and analytical reporting
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make judgements based on practice and previous experience
