Your new company

A small Secondary SEN School requires a Teaching Assistant to carry out one to one support for a pupil with SEMH and ASD needs. The role is to start immediately and will for the right person continue to the end of the academic year. The role is temporary, Monday to Friday and is term time only. The school caters for KS4 pupils with social, emotional and mental health challenges as well as other special needs and has strong leadership and a supportive staff.
Your new role
You will be working within a secondary classroom supporting a year 11 pupil with their academic studies. You will also be working closely with the class teachers, Senior Leadership Team and other outside agencies to ensure that the pupil is fully supported in line with their ECHP and that their emotional wellbeing is also supported.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally have a Teaching Assistant qualification and have previous experience of supporting a pupil within a classroom setting. You will also have experience of dealing with pupils with ASD and SEMH and ideally have Team Teach training or equivalent.
