We are currently looking for an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join us for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract, we are open to applications from any location in the UK.

This role’s purpose is to raise the profile of and to position Arup’s Technology expertise and service offer within key markets and with priority clients. The postholder will implement the FY21/22 Technology marketing plan, delivering a tactical programme of activity to achieve the plan’s objectives. This will involve producing and communicating impactful marketing messages, content, and events to support Arup’s work winning in the fields of Fire, Acoustics, Lighting, Accessibility, Venues, Building Performance and Systems, and Virtual and Visualisation.
Key relationships

This post sits within Arup’s Clients, Markets and Communication team, part of our UK, India, Middle East and Africa region. The post holder’s primary relationships will be with a network of region-wide Technology experts, the Technology senior leadership team and the marketing team leader. Other key relationships will include colleagues from across the four CMC disciplines (Communications, Visual Communications, Clients and Business Development and Marketing).
The Role
Work with Technology practice leads to implement the marketing plan, designed to raise the profile of Technology’s expertise, projects and service offer. This involves maintaining and managing the communications of a UKIMEA-wide network of Technology experts to act as an internal client group for marketing purposes.

Planned and reactive marketing activity may include the following: creation of new and updated Arup web content and social media posts; securing and preparing for industry speaking engagements for Technology experts; planning and delivering virtual events; securing, drafting and editing articles and opinions pieces for industry publications; creating new or updated social media profiles; identifying suitable awards and drafting and editing award entries.

This role will involve reporting on the delivery of the Technology 21/22 marketing plan and its impact at 2021 calendar year-end and in final format at financial year-end in March 2022.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone with the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Marketing experience, preferably in a technical or professional services B2B context
  • Experience/ knowledge of tactical delivery of marketing plans, including digital marketing and event planning and delivery
  • Strong communication, reporting and organisational skills
  • Excellent writing, editing and proof-reading skills
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple ongoing activities with a degree of autonomy
  • Personable and collaborative working style with good listening skills and a commitment to positive stakeholder management
  • Willing to take on new challenges and an enthusiasm to learn from and share with others.
