Our client is a leading and rapidly growing steel fabrication company, known for its exceptional quality, innovation, and commitment to excellence.
With a strong track record of delivering high-quality steel structures to a diverse range of industries, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team.
As a Senior Estimator you will play a pivotal role in shaping the success of our projects.You will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for steel fabrication projects, collaborating closely with our sales, project management, and engineering teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and precision.
You will also be integral in analyzing project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine the most cost-effective and efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and contracts to understand project requirements.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to develop detailed cost estimates and project timelines.
- Evaluate and select materials, suppliers, and subcontractors for costeffective solutions.
- Prepare comprehensive and competitive project estimates.
- Communicate and negotiate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers as needed.
- Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry pricing and market trends.
- Analyze project risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Participate in project handover meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimation to execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in steel fabrication estimation.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of steel fabrication and construction industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Team player with the ability to work independently.
- Strong project management skills.
- Knowledge of industry pricing trends and suppliers.
Salary:
£35,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
