    Description

    Job Title: General Practitioner in Oncology

    BC Cancer, a leading cancer treatment center, is seeking a talented General Practitioner in Oncology to join its team in beautiful Victoria.

    This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of specialized medical oncologists and allied health professionals, providing care exclusively to oncology patients.

    The successful candidate will participate in the treatment and follow-up of patients, after curative and palliative treatment planning.

    They will also engage in clinical trials as opportunities arise and have access to professional development opportunities through our in-house training programs.

    Eligibility for appointment to medical staff of BC Cancer and Royal Jubilee Hospital is required.

    In-patient and oncology experience is an asset, but not required; BC Cancer will support your training.

    We are committed to reducing the incidence of cancer and improving the quality of life of those living with cancer.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Treating and following up on patients with curative and palliative treatment plans.
    • Participating in clinical trials as opportunities arise.
    • Working collaboratively with a team of medical oncologists and allied health professionals.
    • Providing patient-centered care that addresses the physical, emotional, and social needs of oncology patients.
    • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive medical records.

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Medicine or equivalent qualification.
    • Eligibility for licensure in the province of British Columbia.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
