Fundraising and Application Writing Advisor


Salary range:
£31,000Pro Rata 5

Annual leave entitlement is 5 weeks including bank holidays


Term: 18 month fixed contract


Hours:
hours per week. Job share would be considered

VSNS Staines office, Staines Library (first floor), Friends Walk, Staines, TW18 4PG


Job Purpose:


Main Duties:

The following is typical of the duties the postholder will be expected to perform.

It is not necessarily exhaustive and other duties of a similar nature and level may be required from time to time.


  • Work with Spelthorne based organisations and groups in order to maximise fundraising support carrying out a holistic and employment focussed initial assessment and completing an individual action plan with each group.
  • Give fundraising advice and support to circa 20 groups per year by conducting regular one to one meetings with clients in line with their action plans.
  • Deliver training and facilitate networking events where appropriate.
  • Fulfil the obligations relating to our agreement with Spelthorne Borough Council in line with the prosperity funding bid including monitoring and reporting and completing impact assessments.
  • Contribute to a monthly funding newsletter, write engaging articles, updates, and announcements to inform local groups.
  • Respond to all enquiries in a timely fashion.
  • Attend learning and development opportunities as appropriate to the post.
  • Attend and contribute to VSNS team meetings and to work with other VSNS employees and volunteers as a team.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken is carried out in accordance with Equal Opportunities procedures.
  • Work flexibly, as and when required, within the hours of the post.
  • Undertake other duties as directed by the Chief Officer
  • Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe and secure environment and to act in accordance with the employer's policies and procedures.
