Description
The learning disability service comprises of community based teams, the intensive support team and the reasonable adjustments service.

Working as part of this service you will be given opportunities to link with colleagues across the service and attend local and trust wide occupational therapy events.

To work alongside occupational therapists to carry out occupational therapy sessions to enable patient's to achieve the goals agreed following the OT assessment.

To independently carry out occupational therapy activities agreed with the OT's, with adults with a learning disability.


To have awareness of local services to signpost patients, to enable them to access community activities and other health and social care services.

To support patient's to attend community activities to enable them to develop their routine and engage in meaningful activities. To fit and review occupational therapy equipment provided for the patient. To attend team meetings and feedback to OT team as needed.

To manageown diary and record all work completed with patient's on electronic patient record system.
