Position - Trainee Assistant Accountant _

• To maintain the day to day transactional accounting function._

• Reports to

• Financial Director_
• Overview _

This is an accounts assistant role but the nature of the business is such that at times it requires adaptability to help in other areas as required.

The fundamental duties are wide ranging and cover all aspects of the accountancy function.

Below is a very brief outline of the starting duties and a after period these will be extended to cover producing salaries (initially as cover)
and assist any areas to improve the accounting function.

• 1) Day to Day _
• All aspects of the purchase ledger from posting invoices to paying suppliers.
• All aspects of the sales ledger from posting invoices to chasing debtors.
• Taking telephone calls in respect to accounts and passing on orders / sales enquiries as required.
• 2) Monthly _
• Collating the timekeeping records for the purpose of salaries.

3) _Quarterly _

• Inputting stock onto the excel spreadsheets.
• Requirements _

English & Maths GCSE minimum grade 4

2 A Level's grade C minimum or equivalent qualification.

Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.

Microsoft excel and word experience.

A knowledge of Sage 50 would be an advantage but it is not essential.

• Prospects _

Starting Salary - £25,000

Benefits - Competitive pension scheme.

Holiday - 32 per year including statutory.
