Do you thrive working in a fast-paced environment, whilst delivering an efficient HR service to the business? If so, we have a great opportunity for an HR Assistant, on a 12-month fixed term contract.


What you'll do:

Our People Team provides a range of innovative and professional HR services across Wessex Water and YTL Developments. Working in the HR Service Centre, you will be based at our Bath office at Claverton Down.

You will work closely with a team of HR Assistants to provide support to our business by ensuring the smooth operation of the complete employee lifecycle.


You will respond to a wide range of HR queries via our Service Management portal, by telephone and face to face.

This will include; drafting and issuing contracts and letters, new starter onboarding, processing changes to terms and conditions and types of leave, general HR queries, using our iTrent People system.

No two days are the same and there will also be lots of exciting ad-hoc HR tasks to get involved with.


What you'll need
To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • have previous experience in an administrative role and an ability to work well under pressure;
- be a confident communicator and a team player;
- be well organised, with experience of managing large volumes of work;
- have excellent attention to detail and accuracy;
- recognise the need for confidentiality at all times:

  • have sound IT skills and be confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams; and
- enjoy supporting customers with a friendly and helpful attitude.

The ideal person would have already spent some time working in an HR department.
