Administrative Assistant - Audit Quality Support Team (1180)

Job purpose

The Audit Quality Support Team (AQST) is responsible for supporting the quality of the firm's audit work.

As part of this national team, the project and administrative support team are responsible for supporting senior auditors by taking over administrative,process driven and data tasks, enabling the team to focus on technical matters.

Key Responsibilities


The administrative assistant will support the team across all its workstreams, including quality monitoring, risk management, innovation, communication, methodology and many others.


Although the role will expose the administrative assistant to technical audit matters, there is no requirement for the successful applicant to have an understanding of accounting or audit topics, rather a willingness to learn.

The administrative assistant will perform a wide range of administrative and project support duties, including:

  • Build relationships within the team and across the business through immaculate presentation and personal brand,
  • Formatting and branding of documents in Microsoft Office,
  • Creative presentation design (in Microsoft PowerPoint and using other infographic tools),
  • Manage users and permissions on platforms following established processes,
  • Provide diary management support by arranging meetings and maximising the team's efficiency,
  • Collating information for reporting and documentation purposes (extensive use of Excel with onthejob training),
  • Accurate record keeping and data analysis,
  • Minute taking.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience

This is an entry to senior level administrative position. This role does not involve accounting and does not require pre-existing industry knowledge. Eagerness to learn new skills and perfecting existing ones is essential. An openness to understanding audittechnical concepts through on-the-job training is essential.

  • Hard working, highly organised and motivated to deliver quality work,
  • Professionalism, personal brand, skilled communicator confident in liaising with senior colleagues,
- experienced in, or with a keen attitude towards, managing change and conflicting priorities,

  • Both a team player and a capable independent worker.


While this is a varied and challenging role you will be working with a very supportive team, available to give support and direction in the various aspects of the role.

You will report directly to the project management lead and work alongside other administratorson a daily basis, but also report directly to senior managers and directors on specific tasks and projects.


  • A good understanding of process excellence and project management,
  • Solid reviewing and delegating experience,
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, including business writing to a high standard,


Senior administrators will be tasked with running elements of projects, establishing administrative processes, writing process narratives and control descriptions, running data quality checks and controls, and maintaining high quality documentation.
