Main tasks of job:

To prepare nutritional food to a high standard, taking into account any special dietary requirements, communicate with care team regarding special dietary needs
To prepare menus as agreed with the Proprietor, Manager
To purchase fresh foods from nominated suppliers as directed
To order frozen foods and other supplies as required, from nominated suppliers as directed. Check deliveries of supplies and ensure correct storage, rotation of stocks and foods
To check regularly that suppliers' prices are competitive as directed
To account for all monies issued and receipts obtained, necessary records kept up to date
Ensuring a high standard of hygiene is maintained at all times. Attend to relevant cleaning duties, washing up and correct storage of all crockery, cutlery etc
Ensure that all relevant documentation is kept up to date, and use safer food, better business management systems
Comply with regulations and procedures regarding Food Hygiene and Health and Safety. To attend all relevant training as directed
To undertake other duties as necessary
