Van Delivery Driver, £12.90ph, Central London, 5 out of 7 days a week, 35 hours

Our award-winning team is seeking a highly motivated and reliable Van Driver to join us in Central London.

As part of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our team and events run smoothly, and our customers receive the best possible dining experience.


Responsibilities:


  • Collecting stock or goods from a collection point and ensuring that all customer orders are complete
  • Packing the goods in the delivery vehicle in an organised manner that matches the order in which the deliveries will be made
  • Planning the shortest and best routes to clients by taking factors like roadblocks and traffic into consideration
  • Using GPS navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver packages to customers on time
  • Doing regular maintenance checks on delivery vans and informing management of any issues
  • Delivering products that are in good condition to clients
  • Interacting with clients in a friendly and professional manner
  • Unloading packages at the destination
  • Updating route, mileage and delivery logs
  • If no driving needed there will be additional tasks such as organising store room, helping out in the kitchen, or helping to set up event stations.

Requirements:


  • Clean licence
  • Previous experience of driving a van in London
  • Delivery drops between Sunday and Friday (rota would be Sun-Thurs or Mon-Fri, dependant on business needs and may change weekly)
  • 6:30am start working till 4:00pm
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and demanding environment
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects

From £12.90 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London, SE1 1LB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Delivery driver experience: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
