Our client, an established metal finishing company, urgently requires a Team Leader to work within its Paint Shop Division at their site in Cheltenham.

The site is easily reached by public transport. This role may become permanent following a successful trial period.

The Role:

The company provides coating and paint services to the manufacturing industry and the primary function will be to lead a team of operatives within the Paint Shop Division.

A background in leading a team within a manufacturing/production environment is essential. Whilst experience in spray painting or powder coating would be preferred, full training in this field can be provided.

Leadership is a fundamental part of your role.

The following points must be upheld at all times:

Be a team player and lead from the front
You must be a good role model and maintain high standards at all times.
Always be committed to your tasks and provide guidance and motivation to others.
Delegate work to your team fairly and show no favouritism.
Try to resolve problems when they arise, look for the root cause and identify longterm actions to ensure the problem is not repeated.
Represent yourself and your department fairly and loyally.
Maintain the morale of the company by encouragement; praise when justified and identifying and dealing with problems.

Working Hours & Rate of Pay:

Monday to Thursday & Friday

- £11.50 per hour rising to £12.50 per hour on successful completion of the trial period
