ABOUT THE ROLE


The Research & Insight Intern will play a key role in contributing to sourcing and localising content that will be used for feeding into the agency's market intelligence or developing into reports that will be shared externally to demonstrate the agency's thought leadership.


You will work flexibly within project teams, and the wider organisation, and will have the opportunity to get involved in a range of research projects and programmes to help realise our organisational goals.


Key tasks and responsibilities

Ongoing_

  • Sourcing, interpreting, consolidating and translating the most uptodate Chinese marketing / industry reports that we can leverage and use to create our own resources to share with clients and prospects to promote Emerging Comms as a thought leader in the China digital marketing industry.
  • Keeping up with trending topics on various Chinese social media platforms to identify and report on trends that are relevant to western brands.

Ad hoc / project_

  • Supporting Emerging Comms offline and online events from a content creation perspective, including but not limited to getting the latest stats, summarizing industry reports with key implications as well as sourcing and demonstrating best practices.
  • Conducting research for new business pitches (including but not limited to customer insight, competitor insight, brand voice and sentiment analysis etc.), providing topline implications to the pitch team.
  • Participating in specific client projects that require research, data collection, data analysis and any other research tasks.
  • Working with the marketing department create compelling content.

  • A real interest in market research & data driven intelligence and how they can be interpreted into meaningful insights.
  • Understands the importance of the agency's thought leadership with the ability to proactively support this.
  • Interest in Emerging Comms and the work that we do. Passionate about digital marketing and China marketing innovation.
  • Ability to work under your own initiative as well as part of a team and make a real impact.
  • Good understanding of basic project management and market research methodologies through work experience, study or personal activities
  • Good organisation and administration skills
  • Good communication skills in both Mandarin and English (written and verbal)
  • The ability to critically analyse information, interpret this and challenge your own assumptions
