A fabulous opportunity has arisen for an experienced personal assistant within Lancashire Teaching Hospitals to undertake varied, fast-paced and interesting role within the Governance Management Team.


The key responsibility of the post is to provide comprehensive PA support, administrative and secretarial duties to the Associate Director of Risk and Compliance and the Associate Director of Safety and Learning.


As an integral part of our close-knit team, you will have excellent communication skills, flexible to differing priorities across the division and thrive in a busy environment.


For this role, your responsibilities will include the provision of full and comprehensive range of administrative support including the receipt, analysis and provision of complex information associated with governance services.

General duties are diverse and require flexibility, with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and to work independently from both home and office environments and under your own initiative with limited direct supervision.


You will also be required to co-ordinate and maintain effective communication between corporate and divisional functions and to use specific IT skills from the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel & Access to produce agendas, minutes and other supporting documentation for a range of meetings, committees and groups.


You may also be required to lead/manage specific pieces of project work as designated by the Associate Directors and may require liaison with internal and external personnel to ensure successful completion within target timescales.

You will represent the governance team and its Directors and Associate Directors when conducting Personal Assistant duties.

Duties of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Contribute to effective management of the
network team.

  • Contribute to robust information
processes and communications with all
stakeholders internal and external.

  • Develop and support staff within the
network

  • Participate in the project and work
streams of the network

  • Assist with research, education and
development activities within the network.

  • Contribute to planning and organisation of
network activities ensuring that work is
captured appropriately and evidence
available for quality assessments.

  • Contribute to service improvement and
development
