My client is searching for a Civil Litigation Solicitor to join their Kendal, Cumbria offices.

As a Civil Litigation Solicitor your job is to provide high quality legal advice, assistance and advocacy for clients of the firm and contribute to maintaining high standards of client care.

Duties

Taking client instructions, providing legal advice and assistance
Running a case load of client matters in accordance with office procedures.
Dealing with client enquiries promptly.
Recording time diligently and according to procedures.
Billing regularly according to procedures
Maintaining knowledge and skills through legal training and research in accordance with the regulatory requirements.
Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment
Contribute to maintaining and improving office procedures.
Helping to market and promote the firm wherever possible.
Any other duties which from time to time are required by the firm.

Civil Litigation Lawyer specific areas of work

The workload is general civil litigation.
Caseload involves working primarily for individuals and small businesses in relation to disputes concerning land/property, boundaries, landlord and tenant (mostly residential), contracts, wills, Powers of Attorney and employment.
