ASL Technical are working closely with a manufacturer of world class Electrical Vehicles.

Based at their technical centre in the West Midlands, our client is looking to recruit an experienced Body Electronics Engineer to support current and future vehicleprogrammes.

The purpose of the role is to lead the engineering integration of electrical systems into the overall vehicle electrical architecture.

Supporting all systems, other than the basic EDS, you will work closely with the Principal Software Engineer to coordinatehardware & software changes and the development process.

Main Responsibilities
Body Electronics responsibility for problem resolution, verification & validation activities and reporting to line Manager and board level. Completion and management of FMEAs, DVPs and all associated ISO26262 paperwork.

Project responsibility including engineering release, quality, cost, timing and weight.
Preparation and distribution of software release packs.
Engage in strategic projects with respect to new architectures and features.
Testing of software using boxcar, labcar and other properties.
Root cause analysis of software bugs.

Applicant Specific Experience and Requirements

Demonstrable experience in an automotive Electronics, Systems and Software delivery environment.
Demonstrable experience of CAN, LIN and Flexray protocols / vehicle architectures
Use of Vector diagnostic tools.
Ideally degree qualified in electronics, software, electrical or automotive engineering although experience and similar qualification will be considered.
