An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Sleep Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical research fellow.
The post holder will be a compassionate, accountable individual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in their role.
The post holder will be a key member of the sleep team, who provide diagnostic and clinical management of all children's sleep disorders.
The sleep team are a fantastic team, who work together as a consultant, physiology and nurse/practitioner team to support families of children with physiological and non-physiological sleep problems.
The clinical research fellow will be ST3-5 equivalent with an interest in clinical sleep medicine and research.
The clinical research fellow will be responsible for undertaking a designated narcolepsy project with the support of the narcolepsy clinical team, will have exposure to narcolepsy and sleep clinics and diagnostics and will support the clinical team and other research studies as appropriate.
Sheffield Children's is one of three independent, specialist paediatric hospitals in the country, providing dedicated healthcare for children and young people across community, mental health and acute specialist settings.

The role will involve recruitment of participants into a narcolepsy project, working alongside the consultant, specialist nurse, psychologists and sleep practitioner in the narcolepsy team, participating in MDTs, clinics and research meetings.
Less than full-time working is welcomed.
