Job objectives and responsibilities:


  • To promote and work in accordance with Mitie values.
  • Responsible for Supervising the onsite cleaning team. This will involve working flexible hours.
  • Responsible for the delivery of Facilities Management tasks as directed by the Regional Facilities Manager.
  • Deliver the agreed services within the budget and to the standard required within the contract specification.
  • Work in accordance with the Company's Policies & Procedures.
  • Develop great relationships with all stakeholders

Main duties:


  • Undertake site audits as directed by the Regional Facilities Manager
  • Support with the tracking & location audits of waste assets such as Confidential Waste Consoles, food waste bins and mixed & general waste bins.
  • Manage Access to Work furniture and equipment requests for the client's employees, including sourcing quotes & requesting approval for quotes and managing furniture & equipment orders and deliveries.
  • Support with minor office accommodation moves.
  • To support and participate with Corporate Social Responsibility activities, including supporting any interns / apprentices.
  • To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required.
  • To support and understand site escalation procedures to ensure an effective response to incidents.
  • Build positive and productive working relationships with all stakeholders, delivering excellent customer service.
  • Undertake site inductions for any new cleaning operatives.
  • Develop and implement a training/competency matrix covering training on specific equipment, cleaning practises, the use of chemicals and Mitie's E Learning platform.
  • Manage the holidays and absences allocation of the Cleaning Operatives to ensure that adequate coverage is available and that cleaning standards are not reduced.
  • Fill any vacancies quickly using Mitie's recruitment system.
  • Together with the 3 cleaning leads maintain accurate staff attendance records ensuring team members PIN in on arrival to site and PIN out when leaving site.
  • Approve time sheets via (Workplace+) ensuring that these are processed in line with the Company's
    timeframe.
  • Undertake annual appraisals in line with Mitie's MiReview process.
  • Ensure that Cleaning Operatives understand and adhere to the site rules and maintain a smart appearance, including the wearing of the Mitie uniform/PPE when carrying out their tasks.
  • Periodically audit the usage of cleaning materials on site, making sure that the correct cleaning materials are used for the task inhand.
  • Carry out a check of all cleaning machinery and resolving any faults.
  • To encourage the cleaning team to report hazards.
  • Report all accidents and near misses to EcoLine and to your line manager, carrying out investigations and updating appropriate records as necessary.
  • Periodical audit all equipment and store cupboards verifying that they are kept clean, and that equipment and materials are left secured when not in use. (Via IAuditor)
  • Ensure that all relevant safety signs are provided and used correctly by all Cleaning Operatives
  • Periodically audits the standard of work of the Cleaning Services Team (including 4 joint audits per year with the locality FM)
  • Respond to Customer complaints immediately.
