Deutsche Bank Investment Banking is one of the main providers of Electronic Trading solutions globally.
It uses an array of electronic and algorithmic trading strategies and techniques to meet its obligations as markets participants and to fulfil its duties on behalf of its clients.
You will be joining the Strategic Analytics (Strats) Group as an Algorithmic Trading Champion to complement existing standards of controls and governance.
You will work within the Risks & Controls Governance team which reports into the Head of Electronic Trading and Strats.

Your key responsibilities
- Implement indepth periodic and onchange algorithmic trading market, conduct risk assessments by becoming an expert on the relevant trading algorithms, business, and market conduct standards
- Chair algorithmic trading material change review forums and be a signoff party
- Review and challenge standards of controls, evidencing and testing outcomes. Design and document testing standards for predefined risk scenarios
- Design, implement and execute automated tests for algorithmic trading conduct risks assessments in close collaboration with development, quantitative and compliance teams
- Assist in the buildout of an algorithmic trading market conduct risk assessment and testing framework and controls
Your skills and experience
- Ability to cooperate and collaborate with developers and quants to understand how software implementations mitigate market conduct risk within a Trading Algorithm or system architecture
- Excellent grasp of electronic and algorithmic trading software development lifecycle procedures, standards, and relevant operational and market conduct risks
- Strong analytical and data science skills, technologies, and programming skills (KDB, Python, Java, and C++)
- High attention to detail, solid organisational and interpersonal skills. Solid oral and written communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of algorithmic trading regulations, strategies and systems, market conduct standards, products, and asset classes knowledge/ understanding
