Working within a whole plant or individual system team, creating system definitions and component specifications in the context of nuclear systems design, definition, assessment, integration and verification activities at an integrated power system or fluid system level as applicable, in support of capability acquisition, new product introduction and in-service product support.

It's a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we're all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week

What you will be doing:

Is responsible for defined technical packages of work providing leadership and delivery against customer programme milestones with agreed costs, timescales and quality requirements
To understand the company business objectives and ensure that the work they do supports this. To act in accordance with both the company values and those associated with being a professional engineer.
Ensure that all work is of a high standard, to the appropriate level of detail consistent with maintaining acceptable risk, and that correct processes and procedures have been used.
Undertake specific programmes of work to acquire and advance Fluid Systems technologies, methods and processes, in order to achieve and maintain a worldclass competitive capability.
Represent the department internally and externally at meetings, conferences and seminars.
Undertake requirements management and derivation including implementation of Systems Engineering approaches.

Experience in a Fluid Systems related discipline is desirable but not essential
Experience working in the Nuclear industry is desirable but not essential
Normally holding membership of a relevant professional body or working towards Chartered status
