Description

As a Logistics Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the business, monitoring operations, customer service and problem solving within the team using the in-house system whilst supporting the Supply Chain function in day-to-day activity alongwith delivery of their strategic road map.

The role pays £26,000-£28,000 working 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday in a fixed-term contract until November.

Our client based in the Birmingham area is an operational support practice and consultancy for the logistics and supply chain industry, with extensive client and supply side experience across a number of sectors.


Description
The role of Logistics Coordinator in Birmingham will involve:

  • Overseeing the smooth operation of the Logistics function.
  • Using the inhouse system to monitor processes.
  • Customer service.
  • Reporting and forecasting.
  • General administration work.
  • Support on changes and future development.
  • Progressing and tracking daily enquiries on all matters from operations and support staff.
  • Regular communications and updates internally and externally.
  • Support on Data analysis as required.
  • Liaise with relevant functions.

Profile

  • Experience in transport and/or warehouse planning.
  • The ability to liaise with different stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Strong administration skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Experience handling data.
  • A background in Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain.

Preferable:

  • Logistics forecasting experience.
  • Demand planning knowledge.

Job Offer

The role of Logistics Coordinator benefits from:

  • An excellent salary of between £26,000-£28,000.
