Gas Team Supervisor you will be to delivering excellent, customer-focussed services to our customers and maintaining properties to a high standards.

This exciting opportunity will be based in Loughton, Essex.

You will join us on a full-time basis in return for a salary between
£40,000 - £42,000 per annum plus other benefits.

Salary will reflect your skills and knowledge.


Your role and responsibilities:


  • To manage and motivate the team to deliver excellent customer focused services, resulting in high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Assistance with recruitment, training and performance management in accordance with our policies
  • To ensure that all work and activities are carried out in a safe and responsible manner, paying particular regard to standards of cleanliness and tidiness, controlling and minimising noise and dust levels
  • That the client's key performance metrics are met and activities are completed on time, to the correct quality
  • Be sufficiently competent to prepare a technical specification, preordering materials for an installation team to follow and ensure a heating pack is produce in line with clients requirements upon completion
  • To ensure engineers work within the preallocated appointment system, keeping prearranged appointments and driving efficiency along productivity levels
  • To collect and monitor individual and team performance information to ensure targets are met
  • Authorising works, variations and invoices within agreed guidelines and limits
  • To carry out pre and postinspections to ensure value for money and high levels of quality is achieved by team and subcontractors
  • To ensure that operational ICT systems are updated in a timely manner across all staff, with all works recorded, completed and costed to enable accurate financial and performance reports
  • Monitoring and driving productivity in conjunction our materials suppliers to reduce unproductive time and to improve our firsttime fix rate through improvement of the van stock and use of data
  • To ensure all engineers are able to fault find and accurately diagnose the repair or work required, determine the most efficient and effective value for money solution, while achieving a firsttime fix
  • To periodically carry out van stock audits and checks to equipment, examples include; steps and ladders
  • Monitoring and implementation of health and safety arrangements such as; auditing, inducting new staff, reviewing training requirements and risk assessments
  • To ensure staff fully utilise any communications and other assigned ICT equipment
  • To investigate and respond to customer feedback as required and in line with our policies with the ability to use this information to identify and implement or recommend service improvements and innovations
  • To undertake flexible working patterns as required to provide effective, customerfocussed services which includes taking part in the standby duty rota outside of normal office hours

  • Manage and prioritise own workload and that of the team to take account of conflicting and changing demands and to meet agreed deadlines
  • Good knowledge of ICT systems and able to accurately analyse, summarise and report financial, performance and other data
  • Positively support the introduction, development and implementation of new technology and working methods to improve the service
  • Keep up to date with developments and innovations in the building maintenance industry and maintain own continuous professional development. Including working knowledge of relevant Health and Safety Legislation
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding issues commensurate with the role

Qualifications and experience:

  • Current relevant ACS qualifications
  • Gas Safe Registered
  • Experience in the Gas industry to acquire the skills and techniques of your specialised trade
  • A satisfactory DBS check is required as part of this role.
  • Full driving licence
  • Experience with management of a multidisciplinary team including dispersed staff in the maintenance sector
  • Manging health and safety and welfare of operatives and subcontractors
  • Experience of planning, commissioning, delivering and monitoring repairs, maintenance and improvements to void and occupied properties
