About the role

We have a permanent position for a Building Surveyor or Architectural Technologist to join our successful team developing building projects in schools.

You will be required to cover an agreed geographical area and will enjoy a high degree of autonomy after an initial induction and probationary period.

Your role will primarily focus on taking the lead on planned refurbishments and capital works projects as well as providing specialist advice in relation to all aspects of property/building maintenance, construction, development and design.

About you:

As an experienced building professional, with an impressive track record to date and proven success in a similar role, you should be a full member of the RICS, CIOB or CIAT and be able to demonstrate:

Excellent interpersonal skills
First rate technical knowledge, coupled with a good degree of commercial know-how
Good project management skills, backed by a strong customer focus for project values between £20k-£3m
The ability to manage individual tender processes and all associated documentation
Good understanding and experience of JCT Contracts
Evidence of budgetary responsibility and delivering projects/works to plan, within set timescales at agreed costs
Project management on a wide range of capital and maintenance schemes.
Good Auto CAD skills with the ability to write tender packages

You will also be required to use your own vehicle to travel to and from sites in
Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire and Warwickshire. A competitive mileage allowance is given
