Principal Highways Engineer - London
The Resolute Group works closely with a leading infrastructure engineering design consultancy that operates across several sectors, including transport, roads & highways and utilities
Salary:
£60,000 - £65,000 basic + Package
Location:
London
(Hybrid working, 2-3 days from home, 2-3 days from the office)
The Role
As a Principal Highways Engineer, your responsibility is to ensure safety, environmental quality and cost targets are met while adhering to the Integrated Management System.
Depending on the client / project you maybe part of the team working on behalf of the client checking the existing drawings.
OR working with the client to develop concept highway designs, working with other consultancy partnersto develop a programme.You will be leading junior Highway Design Engineers, managing them on a daily basis with their projects and targets.
As well as supporting them with their chartership portfolio with the Head of Highways, ensuring there career development keep progressing.
Wider responsibilities include helping the UK highways business achieve sustainable growth through sector diversification within the highways infrastructure sector.
With your time being split between hands on design and man management you will also be involved with various collaborations and JV partners.
From clients such as the local authorities, National highways, private developers through to different consultancies interfacing with different departments such as structural engineering, M&E, Drainage etc
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing consultancy with an ever expanding order book, needing more resources on a regular basis to achieve their goals for 2023.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proficient in 2D/3D geometric design of highway alignment, including all junction types
- Proficient in the use of MX Roads or Civils 3D
- Experience in using Road Restraints Risk Assessment Process (RRRAP) tool
- Degree or higher in a relevant discipline
