Description

To provide a professional leadership role to members of IST and wider OPCMHT to ensure that staff work in partnership to provide an integrated community mental health service to older people of the borough where you are based.

To provide clinical and managerial supervision within the IST and be responsible for ensuring that individuals also receive education and support in specialist matters relating to the individuals professional background.

To lead the weekly MDT, focusing the work of IST, ensuring that specific, time limited interventions with clear goals are established with each service user.

To jointly ensure the care and interventions provided within the IST are evidence based and in accordance with NICE guidance.

To lead IST staff in implementing evidence-based specialist mental health assessments in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

To maintain a role of care manager / care coordinator for service users who are referred to the IST whose range of needs require complex arrangements of care.
