A new and exciting opportunity has been created at Mercedes-Benz of Guildford for a Trainee Service Advisor.

Their simple goal is to deliver the most outstanding service from each of their sites in Guildford, Basingstoke, Poole, Dorchester, Salisbury, Newbury, Farnborough and Hindhead.


The Role


As a Trainee Service Advisor, you will be given the support and training to develop your skills and experience so you can become responsible for every aspect of a customers after sales experience.

The main purpose of the role is to maximise workshop profitability whilst exceeding customer expectations and satisfaction.


The successful applicant will actively sell after-sales services in a customer-oriented manner, ensuring the workshop is working to full capacity by effectively scheduling customer orders.


Main Duties will include training and development to work towards:

  • Provide administrative support to the service department ensuring that all documentation is processed in line with company procedures.
  • Assist in the creation of daily site reporting.
  • Build an understanding of the Mercedes-Benz passenger cars range, products, and services.
  • Assist in the management of the customer journey, including VHC process, customer progress updates and invoicing.
  • Validate Dealer Management System records for existing customers or create new customer records whilst following company and GDPR guidelines.
  • Use Dealer Management System diary to schedule work to maximise utilisation.
  • Discuss customers booking requirements and offer alternative options if required.
  • Ensure that any customer mobility requirements are arranged if required and maintain appropriate schedules for courtesy cars and collection and delivery drivers.
  • Assist in the preparation of estimates for identified work and seek authority from the customer.
  • WIP management including rebooking for parts received.
  • Service Care Plan Sales and Administration

About You

Mercedes-Benz of Guildford are looking for someone who is keen to take on a new challenge with a brand that is at the forefront of technology and innovation. You will have fantastic customer service skills and ideally a technical understanding and have high levels of attention to detail.

Requirements:


  • English and Maths (Grade C and above)
  • Experience in a customer facing role.
  • Experience of working within processes.

On Offer
Hours of work: 8:00 - 18:00 with one late per week 1830 finish (total of 45.5 hours per week)

Monday to Friday and Saturdays on a rota basis 08:00 - 13:00.


Basic of
£24,653 OTE £27,654 per annum depending on experience, plus lots of benefits including the most up to date training offered by the manufacturer, life assurance and staff discounts.
