Job Title:
Surveyor - Affordable Housing/Residential Valuation

**Location: London

  • CBRE are looking for a Valuation Surveyor to play a key role within the Affordable Housing and Residential Valuation and Advisory team giving market leading advice to Registered Providers, institutions, fund managers, developers, property companies, and more.
  • We have nationwide coverage, with classleading expertise in London and the South East. As well as affordable housing, we provide valuations covering all residential assets including Build to Rent opportunities, developments, strategic land, ground rent investments, and high value single homes within Prime Central London. Our valuations are fully supported by a dedicated wider Residential team that offers a multidisciplinary approach from sales and marketing, capital markets, land agency, planning, and market leading research.
  • In the 3 years the affordable housing valuation team has been going, it has established itself as one of the leading consultancies with clients include L&G, L&Q, Sage, Gresham House, Man Group and Peabody amongst others. We provide the full spectrum of services in these sectors from regular valuations and loan security advice to acquisition advice and market intelligence.
  • Working within our team offers the opportunity to gain insight into the acquisition, development, and financing of landmark and largescale residential and mixeduse development and investment projects.
  • CBRE Training and induction on boarding to be provided.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • Contributing to valuations across a broad range of asset types through the residential sector in the UK, including development sites, investment portfolios and highvalue properties in Central London.
  • Preparation of valuation reports for a broad range of purposes including investment, development, accounts, loan security and strategic advice.
  • Close liaison with colleagues and client teams ensuring high quality advice is consistently delivered.
  • Preparation, with supervision, of cashflows using Excel and Argus Developer.
  • Peergroup engagement with the wider CBRE residential network and other business lines such as Capital Markets and Funding, Development Agency, Planning and Building Consultancy.
  • Engaging with and supporting inhouse innovation, change and CSR programmes.
  • To support an expanding team in its business development objectives and continued growth in revenue.
  • Person Specification/Requirements:
  • MRICS qualified or equivalent. Registered Valuer preferable.
  • Highly proficient IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, enabling the delivery of classleading client output.
  • Organised, focused, and high attention to detail.
  • A selfstarter with effective time management.
  • Ability to work in fast paced dynamic environment.
  • Passionate about the residential sector.
  • Residential experience preferable but not essential.
  • Valid UK driving licence preferred.
