First Class Support offers academic support to students receiving disabled student allowance (DSA). We are dedicated to hiring top-notch support specialists who are enthusiastic about positively impacting the education of individuals enrolled in higher education programs throughout the UK.

Our tutors provide personalized support to students on an individual basis, either remotely or in person.

  • Location: This role is based in Ilford.
  • Student's Program: The student is pursuing a master's degree in speech & language.
  • Support Hours: 2 - 3 hours of support per week required (potential for additional remote work).

Support should be tailored to each student's specific needs, utilizing your expertise and professionalism to deliver assistance with clearly defined objectives and timelines. Some students may require continuous support throughout their program, while others may need less as they progress, and some might need extra help as the course gets more demanding.

You should be mindful of the unique strengths that students on the autism spectrum bring to the learning environment, and be able to assist them in leveraging these strengths and overcoming learning obstacles.

Your Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate Degree
  • Teaching Qualification
  • Completion of 6 National Autistic Society (NAS) online training courses
  • Attendance of the Autism and SPELL face-to-face course

First Class Commitment To Our Staff:

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (required)

Experience:

  • One-to-one tuition: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • PGC in Autism or Asperger's (preferred)
  • Master of Education (Specializing in Autism) (preferred)
  • Teaching Qualification (preferred)
  • CPD Accredited Autism Training (preferred)
  • 6 NAS Core Modules (required)
  • Autism & SPELL in HE (required)
