Provide the tools we need to make essential business improvements

In this important role, you'll have access to a central system where employees from across the business can suggest opportunities to improve our processes and procedures.

You'll then work with your colleagues to prioritise the requests based on their importanceand impact to the overall business, and provide the relevant team with the tools necessary to make the desired improvements.

With efficiency and business improvement critical to delivering the best value for money for our customers across government and overseas, this role will be key to supporting the long term financial success of our organisation.

You'll have a wide range of additional responsibilities, including training and coaching colleagues to achieve their own improvements, and identify opportunities for enhanced performance.

We'll also expect you to provide advice and guidance concerning theprocesses within our 'Business Lifecycle Initiative', and review the core processes affecting how FCDO Services' business is managed from inception to conclusion.

Use your ability to see the big picture to enhance the services we offer

With superb influencing, communication, analytical and organisational skills, you'll have well developed practical knowledge of delivering business improvement methodologies and solutions.

Experienced in handling, analysing and understanding diverse datasources, and with good IT and MS Excel abilities, you'll be ready to use your excellent interpersonal skills to inspire and motivate your colleagues and the various stakeholders you'll work with.

This is a role where LEAN or Six Sigma certification to at least 'Yellow Belt' - or equivalent experience - would be desirable, as would an understanding of the various approaches to change management.

Always ready to see the big picture, and with a clear-sightedapproach to every task you focus on, previous experience of working with the Civil Service would also be an advantage.
