Customer Service/Employability Tutor

JFC Training College, Woolwich, London


35 hours per week. Hours will be between Monday to Friday - 6pm

£100-£120 per day (depending on experience)

Temporary, Fulltime

JOB OVERVIEW - Customer Service/Employability Tutor

  • Customer Service Level 2 Cert (RQF)
  • Employability Skills Level 2 Cert (RQF)
  • Safeguarding, Prevent & British Values Level 2 Cert (RQF)

Main Responsibilities:


  • Taking full responsibility for a caseload of learners
  • Plan and deliver engaging classes and workshops that inspire learners to achieve
  • Manage and prepare learners effectively in accordance with OFSTED and Awarding Bodies requirements in teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Managing caseloads to ensure that KPIs are met
  • Undertake induction, initial assessment, diagnostic, ILP, skills scan and reviews with learners ensuring feedback provided and acted up appropriately.
  • Develop scheme of work, lesson plans and course resources for the delivery of the qualifications.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and achievement setting improvement targets where standards are not met.
  • Delivering and managing learning of the qualifications using an eportfolio system
  • Embedding functional skills in the delivery of the qualification and providing the relevant support and guidance to meet the required standards of the qualification.
  • Support a caseload of learners through providing effective advice and guidance and training to progress into sustainable employment, work placement, apprenticeship or further education
  • Maintain accurate and complete tutor records, tracking, and monitoring learner progress and development to ensure high accreditation pass rates, and good retention.
  • Ensure that 95% of learners achieve their qualification within the agreed timescales.
  • Embedding British values, prevent, safeguarding, equality and diversity throughout the teaching.

CANDIDATE SKILLS - Customer Service/Employability Tutor

What we are looking for:


  • Experience of teaching learners aged 16+
  • Proven experience of teaching customer service/employability skills and workrelated learning.
  • Ability to use your interpersonal skills to manage relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and with varying communication needs and requirements
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent time management and the ability to work to deadlines
  • Great administration and organisation skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • IT literate and competent in the use of all Microsoft Office programs and internet
  • Experience of using eportfolios
  • Knowledge and understanding of 'Safeguarding' vulnerable adults and children
  • Ability to cope with a challenging and varied workload

Qualifications - Customer Service/Employability Tutor

  • Teaching qualification at level 4 or above
  • Customer Service Level 2 / Business Administration Level 3/ Employability Level 1

Desirable

  • Assessors/Verifiers Award D32/34 / A1, TAQA, CAVA
  • Internal Quality Assurance Qualification, V
  • SEND experience
  • An interest in how learning can be supported and made more interesting by technology
