Description
A fantastic apprentice equine groom opportunity in rural Suffolk at a top-class private dressage training stable.

You will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of 5* care of horses including physiotherapy including the TRT method of horse handling.

Duties to include, but not be limited to;
- mucking out
- feeding
- tacking up
- turning out/ bringing in
- any other reasonable duties


Desired Skills and Qualities

  • Confident around horses
  • A good, calm nature
  • Keen interest to learn

Desired Qualification

  • Maths and English GCSEs or equivalent at Grade C/4 or above
  • Applicants must not already hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in the equine sector to be eligible for this apprenticeship.

Future Prospects

  • Potential progression to Senior Equine Groom apprenticeship
  • Opportunity to become a full time groom

Training

  • Full training to be provided by the employer and KEITS at the place of employment.
  • The applicant will be working towards and gain a Level 2 Equine Groom Apprenticeship
  • The learner will be allocated an industry specific training consultant who will provide both remote and on site visits throughout the apprenticeship.
  • The apprentice will work towards an End Point Assessment (EPA) at the end of their apprenticeship.

Things to consider

  • The grounds are in rural Suffolk with Hadleigh just over 2 miles away.
  • A selfcontained flat is available if required including all amenities and SKY TV.
