1.0 Job Purpose

2.0 Key Tasks

  • Responsible for maintaining and developing existing partnerships.
  • Ensure projects are managed in accordance with grant conditions and that reports are produced in a timely manner with up to date information on Hospice activities to increase donor involvement, loyalty and funding.
  • Spend regular time with each department to identify suitable projects for funding, Keep up to date on services, budget, uptake and demand.
  • Keep accurate and accessible financial records for forecasting on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure Donorflex records are maintained with accurate information.
  • Inform Communications Officer of recent successes that can be publicised and promoted on the website and social media.
  • Work in accordance with the law, hospice philosophy, recognised professional guidelines.
  • The above is indicative of the role and may change from time to time in consultation with the postholder, in line with the changing needs of the organisation.

3.0 Person Specification

ESSENTIAL

  • Ability to use Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience of planning and prioritising work load
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a diverse range of individuals who may be supporters, participants, donors or volunteers
  • Ability to think creatively to match Hospice project funding with trust criteria
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong time management/prioritising skills
  • Educated to at least GSCE Math's & English
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to use Internet as a research tool

DESIRED

  • Ability to work to financial targets and budgets
  • An understanding of the importance of evaluating and measuring outcomes
  • To contribute to project management of individual projects
  • Demonstrable diplomacy and ability to work in confidence
  • Able to prepare a compelling case for support, including detailed project costs
  • Understanding of importance of building relationships with potential funders
  • Good understanding of the Charity Sector
  • Good understanding of Trust fundraising

Additional Responsibilities

  • To support and be involved in fundraising activities in collaboration with the fundraising team as appropriate.
  • To ensure, in all circumstances, that you represent the Hospice in a positive light.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 20 per week

£11.40 per hour
