Job Introduction

Health & Care Business & Executive Support Team provide a centrally led business support administrative function which is aligned to meet the requirements of Staffordshire County Council, and which fulfils the needs of the organisation as it evolves.

Currently, this staffing team support a multitude of service areas across the organisation with a core link to Adult Social Care & Health (which includes Adult Safeguarding, plus services within Care Commissioning and Public Health).

This position will focus on supporting and co-ordinating the work linked to Care Commissioning.

Main Responsibilities

Supporting and co-ordinating business support processes and projects across Care Commissioning Service areas within Health and Care, with flexibility to work across wider team areas when required.

Flexible and adaptable approach is crucial.


Overseeing daily work processes and priorities to meet demands and working closely with Care Commissioning Officers, Managers and Business & Executive Support colleagues.

Assist Business Support Managers to continually improve and innovate the service to add value, manage fluctuations in demand and resources, and contribute to the development of the business, service plans and performance data,

  • Excellent communication skills to engage our customers and external partners/providers.
  • Experience of coordinating business support functions of a team or project, prioritising the service support requirements to ensure the demands of the service are met.
  • An ability to work in a fastpaced, busy environment and to manage changes/priorities at short notice.
  • Good IT skills and experience of running reports, extracting data for analysis.
