Location:

There are two positions available, one will be contracted to work at Eastern Police Investigation Centre Portsmouth, and one will be contracted to work at Northern Police Investigation Centre Basingstoke.

Both positions will be required to travel to multiple locations within Hampshire & the Isle of Wight.


Salary:
Scale 5, £27,789 - £29,874 per annum (12.5% shift allowance plus an additional 18.83hrs per month weekend enhancement). Mileage will also be paid for travel to locations other than your contracted place of work.


Hours: 37 hours per week


Contract:
Full-time and permanent.

About the Role:

Currently located in 15 police stations across the County, the Front Counters team are dedicated to providing the best possible service to the public and internal stakeholders.


Police Contact Enquiry Officers are responsible for providing efficient and effective front counter service to members of the general public.

As a Multi-Site PCEO, you will be required to travel to other locations on any rostered working day, in order to provide cover at any front counter location in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.**- Are qualified to QCF Level 2 or has comparable work experience.


  • Are able to critically assess enquiries and gather information through face to face contact, telephone call backs and electronic systems.
  • Have a full UK driving license _(please note that you will routinely need access to your own vehicle with business insurance. Use of pool cars may also be available for travel between different locations but cannot be relied upon)._
  • Have proven experience of working in a busy customer / public service environment.
  • Have paperbased and electronic clerical skills including experience of creating high volumes of varied documentation.
  • Feel confident dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Have knowledge of Windows based Microsoft software and can confidently use IT equipment.
