Saint John Wall Catholic School is a highly successful oversubscribed 11‐16 school with a mixed and diverse population, serving the community of North West Birmingham.

Over 50% of our pupils qualify for additional Pupil Premium funding, and there are over 50 different languages spoken by members of our school community We are a catholic school for all and endeavour

The Role

  • To support the Catholic ethos of the school and to safeguard the well being of pupils in school.
  • To raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement within the whole curriculum area and to monitor and support pupil progress.
  • To be accountable for pupil progress and development within the EAL & Community Languages Department.
  • To develop and enhance the teaching practice of others.
  • To ensure the provision of an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for pupils studying in the department, in accordance with the aims of the school and the curricular policies determined by the Governing Body and Headteacher
  • To effectively manage and deploy support staff, financial and physical resources within the department to support the designated curriculum portfolio.

You must be educated to degree level or above and have experience in delivering a consistently outstanding curriculum to pupils of all ages and abilities. You will need to be a great team player and teacher with a resilient character and strong personal drive.
