We are proud to be working with one of the south's most well respected motor groups. Our client is currently on the lookout for a workshop controller to join their team in the Portsmouth area.

The ideal person will be an experienced workshop controller, trainee workshop controller or senior service advisor with strong main dealer experience.

Responsibilities

Oversee the workflow of all jobs, ensuring they meet the brand's standards.
Lead and manage a team of Technicians, ensuring efficient and effective workflow through the workshop.
Provide focused management to the service department team, ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Ensure strict adherence to processes and procedures at all times.
Conduct regular process reviews with the Aftersales Manager to identify operational issues or discrepancies, taking appropriate actions to resolve them.
Monitor and manage the performance of the workshop, ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
Plan and allocate workshop and support resources to fulfill work requirements effectively.
Provide support to the department team as needed, ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
Assist the service department in handling specifications and coding for nonstandard, complex jobs, obtaining customer approval before initiating any work.
Manage the handover process for complex or potentially contentious jobs (invoices, claims), ensuring customer agreement and satisfaction.
