Security Manager

London (hybrid -
3 days from home)

£550 per day

Initially until end of 2023
1 stage interview -
virtual

On daily bases, you will:


  • The Security manager will have latitude for making decisions, guided by functional objectives and resource availability in discussion with the department director.
  • Contributions will include project management, responsibility for financial performance (cost control and/or some aspects of income) and/or input into planning and policy development.
  • The Security Manager will also plan, and have executed, appropriate internal and external audits of the organisation in a harmonized manner.

And a little bit about yourself:

  • Ability to influence and encourage change of behaviours across a wide range of organisational levels
  • Good awareness of associated Nuclear Industry groups, documents, and frameworks such as the World Institute for Nuclear Security (WINS) and National Objectives Requirements and Model Standards (NORMS)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills able to present at multiple organisational levels and to external regulatory stakeholders
  • Experience in supervising & managing smaller teams
  • Recognised as a Security Professional, ideally in the Nuclear (or related) Industry
  • Extensive experience within the UK regulatory environment
  • Extensive experience of regulatory and external stakeholder engagement

During an interview, you may be asked about:

  • NISR 2003, and UK Nuclear Industry Security Assessment Principles (SyAPS).
  • Your experience and technical knowledge of nuclear safety design and security management
