Authorisations is the first point of contact for firms and individuals who want to undertake regulated financial services in the UK.

We are responsible for protecting the 'gateway' by ensuring firms and individuals meet our standards. Our primary focus is to protect consumers and proactively prevent harm to consumers and markets.


The Division's strategy is to make good decisions, efficiently, by professional and motivated staff, to ensure that we have satisfied customers and partners who respect us.


The Operational Excellence team is central to executing the Divisions' business strategy our purpose is to enable the division to deliver value effectively and efficiently.

We do this through the provision of operational control, data insights, best practice, and compliance rigour. Our activities include Quality Assurance, MI & Analytics, Business Improvement, Process Governance, Risk and Workforce Planning. We are a friendly and highly motivated team, passionate about the work that we do.


What will you be doing- Accountable for the effective development and management of the division's knowledge framework & leaning strategy- Own the Knowledge management process including driving knowledge creation, amending, and updating knowledge articles, and turning information into knowledge articles- Drive best practices and innovation - improve the way we design knowledge tools to make them more accessible easier to follow, navigate and search- Implement and manage governance procedures around all knowledge and leaning materials- Design and own divisional learning and development pathways including how we assess and measurement capabilities- Accountable for the centralisation of knowledge and training documentation, setting standards for content, tone, style etc.

We support hybrid working which means you will be able to work from home up to 60% of the time over a month with the remainder of your time in one of our three office locations.

The skills and experience you will have

Minimum- Experience in designing and implementing knowledge management and/or learning/training strategy that drives results- Evidence of delivering change and managing stakeholder requirements and expectations- Significant experience of influencing and delivering through others

Essential- Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to analyse, present and explain issues in a comprehensive and concise manner- Role-specific know-how, transferrable skills, elements of core skills and behaviours that are essential to the role, referring to our- Capability Framework
- as a source of information to help you design your criteria
  • Experience of change ownership i.e. conducting exploratory work, designing, implementing and embedding innovative solutions, and evaluating outcomes to improve the effectiveness of knowledge sharing and capabilities
  • Experience of leading cultural/mindset change
  • Ability to analyse and articulate complex information concisely (verbally and written)
  • Experience of working on own initiative including foreseeing issues and working under pressure to tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy
  • Dynamic and forward thinking, with excellent initiative to diagnose problems and propose solutions
  • Ability and willingness to adapt to change, positively embracing new approaches
  • Experience in the financial services industry
