What will you do
Responsible for planned maintenance and breakdown repairs to injection mould tools, to maintain a fit-for-purpose condition
. To provide machine shop support to site engineering and production functions.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the efficient repair and servicing of all moulds, jigs, fixtures and extruder parts, to maintain production requirements and standards
  • To manufacture spare parts, both to drawing and through means of using own initiative, by taking measurements of existing parts and making new ones to the same standard
  • To strive towards the highest possible standard of polish, on purchased parts and moulds, to maintain our companies high standards of quality required on all products
  • To inspect externally manufactured components to drawings and check compatibility to existing moulds
  • To maintain or advise when required the condition of both in house and subcontracted moulds
  • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in a safe and reliable condition
  • Carry out and record any periodic PPM checks which have been allocated and for which they are proficient
  • To assist in any training of other Production Technicians and to attend any training courses offered to improve and develop skill sets.
  • Ensure safe working practices at all times and follow every departments rules and regulations and high standard of house keeping
  • Advise Management of any occurrence or foreseeable occurrence likely to cause a breakdown
  • To ensure wastage of material is kept to a minimum
  • To conduct mould PPM''s when required
  • To carry out core/insert changes.
  • Ensure workplace is kept clean and tidy
  • To ensure manufacturing adheres to and conforms with the required technical and quality specifications in line with the Company's ISO 9000 quality systems
  • Comply in accordance with Company's Policies on Health and Safety
  • Support the development of 5S activities to maintain the highest levels of hygiene and housekeeping
  • Support lean manufacturing programme in conjunction with PPI team
  • To be fully committed to the concept of team work in all aspects of the role
  • To act all times in a responsible manner
  • To be flexible and work within a cross a functional team
  • Carry out any reasonable requests that are required to achieve the overall purpose of the job. To fully align with the terms and conditions of employment operating throughout the Company.
  • CNC machining experience desirable.

What we looking for:


  • Minimum of 5 GCSE grade A-C
  • Recognized Engineering Apprenticeship
  • Formal Engineering Qualification
  • Engineering/technical background
  • Previous work experience in similar role is critical
  • Formal Indentured Apprenticeship
