Description
Kenect Recruitment are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our client located in Nottinghamshire.

As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce precision parts.

This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.


Duties:


  • Set up and operate CNC machines and perform tasks such as milling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Select and install appropriate cutting tools and fixtures
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Make adjustments as necessary to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
  • Troubleshoot issues with machinery and perform routine maintenance
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes

Requirements:


  • Proficiency in tooling and machining techniques
  • Strong understanding of basic mathematics and measurements
  • Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software is preferred
  • Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and other equipment used in machining
  • Knowledge of plastics injection molding and welding is a plus
  • Mechanical knowledge to diagnose and resolve machine malfunctions
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail and problemsolving skills

Working Hours (Rotating Shifts):
Monday - Thursday : 6:00am - 2:00pm, Friday : 6:00am - 11:30am

Monday - Thursday : 2:00pm - 10:00pm, Friday : 11:30am - 5:00pm


Salary:
£11.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
