    Job description:
The EQuiP team will be part of the national BSC team. They will deliver against an agreed national change programme.

Priorities are to ensure HMPPS have access to a functional process management system providing up to date and correct national process, procedures and guidance to colleagues in the delivery of services.

The role is based within Yorkshire and the Humber region

The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define process scope and determine workshop requirements
  • Facilitate capture workshops in liaison with the Process Owner to capture and map processes that follow policy, include best practice and guidance and follow Continuous Improvement principles.
  • Seek sign off for publication on process maps by set deadlines in order to ensure colleagues have access to the most up to date content
  • Ensure content is drafted to the required quality standards
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure content remains accurate and up to date
  • Communicate with Process owners to identify potential risks and conduct regular status meetings to review process content
  • Deliver EQuiP briefings to staff to support colleagues in understanding and using the tool to its full potential
  • Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks

Overview of the job


The system change team will be part of the central DDC team but with a matrix line into the Divisional DD.

They will deliver against an agreed national change programme. An initial priority will be ensuring integration between PS and CRC. In Wales these will include integration with Probation / Prisons and therefore solid line into HMPPS Wales.


Summary


The Project Officer role is responsible for assisting the System Change team in helping Deputy Directors to improve the planning and delivery of change programmes, with particular emphasis on continuous improvement and the increased effectiveness of operational processes between the PS and CRCs.


Responsibilities, Activities and Duties
The job holder will be required to carry out the following responsibilities, activities and duties:

Implementation of change management projects

  • Assist in the development of Divisional change plans
  • Assist in the coordination of delivery of Divisional change projects
  • Assist and support the analysis and planning of HQ change initiatives through the provision of key Divisional insight
  • Provide information and support in the review of Divisional change programmes
  • Assist in providing Divisional information to the HQ team
  • Obtain feedback from key project stakeholders regarding critical project milestones to update the system integration team with project
  • Support the system integration team with the development of detailed project plans, project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
  • Track key project milestones and adjust project plans and/or resources to meet needs of Divisional and HQ stakeholders
  • Communicate major milestones and identify potential project risks; conduct regular status meetings to review project activities
  • Utilise project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to highquality standards, and meet customer expectations
  • Translate project requirements into project objectives and tasks
  • Responsible for managing P&L and reporting progress of the project on an ongoing basis
